About Camp

Girls Rock Camp North is ON HIATUS FOR 2019, TO RETURN IN 2020.

Campers participate in instrument instruction, workshops, and band practice where they collaborate with their band and write an original song. No musical experience is necessary! Campers of all skill levels are welcome, whether they already play an instrument or not, and all musical preference is encouraged, whether it be rock, hip-hop, jazz, country, punk, or any other genre. Campers may even end up creating their own genre!

Throughout the week campers participate in workshops such as:

Song Writing

Zine and Poster Making

Positive Self-Image & Identity Discussions

Gear Set-Up, Technical Training and more!

FEES

Our applications fees operate on a sliding scale/pay what you can basis of between $0-300.

It costs approximately $300 dollars per camper to be at camp, this includes such things as daily lunches, snacks and juice boxes, music equipment including rentals and repairs, and workshops.

This method of payment requires active participation and personal reflection on what makes sense for your family’s financial situation, and how you would like to support knowledge-sharing in the Girls Rock Camp North community. The sliding scale is one way of acknowledging differences in wealth, income, costs, and privilege and actively addressing the economic disparities in our community and society.

We appreciate your support in paying what you are able, and we don’t ask for any personal financial information.
